Sama Sama Maluku is the largest Moluccan festival in the Netherlands, held annually since 2013 at the Zegerplas in Alphen aan den Rijn and organised by Stichting Sama Sama, a foundation that supports the Moluccan community and its elderly members. Under the name 'Sama Sama Maluku in Concert' the celebration also travels to theatres and concert venues, bringing Moluccan music, stories and traditions to a wider audience. The 2026 edition carries extra weight, marking 75 years since the first Moluccans arrived in the Netherlands.
The July 4, 2026 edition is dedicated to 75 years of Moluccan history in the Netherlands and brings artists such as Trijntje Oosterhuis, Ronnie Flex, Zoë Tauran, Danjil and Massada to the stage.
On March 28, 2026, Sama Sama Maluku in Concert brought festival atmosphere to pop venue 013 in Tilburg.
The July 12, 2025 edition attracted visitors from all over the Netherlands to the Zegerplas with more than 60 artists and the Pasar Sama Sama market.
