About

Salvador Sobral is a Portuguese singer who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with "Amar Pelos Dois", written by his sister Luísa Sobral, giving Portugal its first-ever victory in the contest after 53 years. His style sits at the intersection of jazz, soul and acoustic pop, built around an understated voice and small-ensemble arrangements. After a heart transplant in 2017 he returned to the stage and has since released a string of albums, including the Latin Grammy-nominated bpm (2021) and the collaborative record Sílvia & Salvador (2025) with Catalan singer Sílvia Pérez Cruz.
