Ronnie Romero (Santiago, Chile, 1981) is a Chilean rock singer based in Madrid who rose to international prominence when Ritchie Blackmore hand-picked him in 2015 to front the revived Rainbow after spotting him on YouTube. Beyond Rainbow, he has sung for Lords of Black, the Michael Schenker Group, and the supergroup Elegant Weapons - alongside Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner and Pantera bassist Rex Brown. His solo career shifted into higher gear with 'Too Many Lies Too Many Masters' (2023), his first album of entirely self-written material.
Ronnie Romero released his second solo album 'Backbone' on October 24, 2025 via Frontiers Music, produced by himself and mixed by guitarist Jose Rubio Jimenez.
In October 2025, Romero toured Europe together with guitarist Gus G. as part of the 'Convergence European Tour', with a performance in Oss (Netherlands) on October 31.
Romero and Firewind guitarist Gus G. released the joint single 'My Premonition' in June 2025, as a preview of their joint European tour.
In May 2025, 'Live at Rock Imperium Festival' was released, a live album/DVD recorded during his performance at the Spanish Rock Imperium Festival in June 2024.
In March 2025, Romero visited the United Kingdom with an eight-date headliner tour, during which he also traveled through Germany and the Netherlands.
