Rogier Bak is an Amsterdam-based stand-up comedian, writer and actor who grew up in the United States - high school in Illinois, basketball in Michigan, design in New York - before returning to the Netherlands when his work visa was not renewed. Back home, he found himself feeling like a foreigner in his own country, a tension that drives his energetic, English-language comedy. His satirical TikTok videos on Dutch and American culture went viral in 2021, building him an audience of over 235,000 followers across social media. He also founded Humorist Comedy, producing English-language shows in Amsterdam and The Hague.
Rogier Bak released his first hour-long special 'Made in USA' on YouTube, recorded at the Tobacco Theater in Amsterdam.
Bak spoke in the Dam Yankee podcast about the 'manosphere', his upbringing by a single mother and the loss of his father at age twelve.
His new show 'Bak to the Future' is touring through Europe, with dates in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Brussels, Lisbon, Prague, Barcelona and Madrid, among others.
Bak now has more than 235,000 followers on social media, an increase compared to the 225,000 reported earlier.
