Robben Ford (born 1951 in Woodlake, California) is an American guitarist who moves fluidly between blues, jazz and rock. A five-time Grammy nominee, he has recorded and toured with Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, George Harrison and Bob Dylan, among many others. Musician magazine ranked him among the 100 Greatest Guitarists of the 20th Century. His solo career, now spanning more than five decades, has made him a fixture on the international blues and jazz circuit.
Robben Ford released his new studio album Two Shades of Blue on April 17, 2026 via Provogue/Artone, featuring among others three instrumental tributes to the late Jeff Beck and a cover of John Lennon's 'Jealous Guy'.
Ford announced Two Shades of Blue with the first single 'Make My Own Weather', recorded in both the US and the UK with two different bands.
Ford announced a UK tour for January and February 2027, with performances in Gateshead, Edinburgh, Holmfirth, Buxton, Lytham, Stamford, Norwich, London and Frome.
Ford toured Italy with an all-star band consisting of Rolling Stones bassist Darryl Jones, keyboardist Larry Golding and drummer Gary Husband.
Ford moved to London, where he found new inspiration for his music.
