Richard Groenendijk (born 1972 in Dirksland) is a Dutch cabaret artist, actor and television presenter with a career spanning more than three decades. He made his solo debut in 1998 with 'Mind the Gap' and went on to win the Poelifinario - the Netherlands' top cabaret prize - twice, for 'Alle Dagen' (2012) and 'Voor iedereen beter' (2022). Beyond the cabaret stage he has presented several television programmes and, in 2026, won a Musical Award for Best Male Lead in a Major Musical for his role as Edna Turnblad in 'Hairspray'.
