About

Republica are an English alternative rock band formed in 1994 in Berkshire, who broke through with their self-titled debut album in 1996. Fronted by vocalist Saffron (Samantha Sprackling), the band described their sound as 'techno-pop punk rock' and sold over three million albums between 1996 and 1999, scoring Top 5 chart positions in the UK, the US and Europe. Their anthem 'Ready to Go' reached number one in multiple countries and has since appeared in more than 300 films and adverts. Saffron is now the sole remaining original member, and in 2025 the band released their long-awaited third album, Damaged Gods.
