Real Farmer + The Klittens
Real Farmer and The Klittens take the stage at Rotown. Two bands in one evening on 27 December.
Real Farmer is a post-punk four-piece from Groningen, Netherlands, made up of Jeroen Klootsema (vocals), Marrit Meinema (bass, vocals), Leon Harms (drums) and Jaap van der Velde (guitar). The band's name nods to frontman Klootsema's rural upbringing in the Groningen countryside. What began as friends writing punk songs together has grown into one of the more talked-about acts on the European post-punk circuit, with appearances at Primavera Sound, Pitchfork Paris and support slots for The Libertines and Babyshambles. Their second album Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right came out on 1 May 2026 via Peter Doherty's Strap Originals label.
Real Farmer released the live EP Live at The Dalby Cafe on 26 June 2026, recorded in one continuous take on 15 November 2025 in Margate.
The second album Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right was released on 1 May 2026 via Strap Originals and contains twelve tracks.
The single 'Heart Out' was announced as a preview of the new album, with a music video recorded in Margate by photographer Roger Sargent.
In 2025, Real Farmer supported Babyshambles, Protomartyr and The Libertines and performed at The Great Escape, Primavera a la Ciutat and Pitchfork Paris.
The band concluded their 'I Will Be Alive!' tour with twelve shows in twelve days in the United Kingdom.

A night of live music featuring Knives Out!, Fellatio, Real Farmer and Liquid Desert at Podium Victorie.

Real Farmer delivers no-nonsense DIY post-punk with sharp riffs and pulsing drums. Support from My Purse, an Amsterdam supergroup with members from Yodel Queen, Cardigan Inn and Hondenfokker.
