Razorlight
British rock band Razorlight performs at Melkweg with songs spanning their entire career, from early hits to recent work.
Razorlight are a British indie rock band formed in London in 2002 by singer-guitarist Johnny Borrell. Their debut 'Up All Night' (2004) launched them into the UK spotlight, and the self-titled second album (2006) topped the UK charts on the strength of the number-one single 'America'. After years of lineup changes and a studio hiatus, the classic foursome - Borrell, Björn Ågren, Carl Dalemo and Andy Burrows - reunited in 2021 and released their fifth album 'Planet Nowhere' in October 2024, their first together in sixteen years.
Razorlight announced a UK tour for spring 2025 to celebrate the album 'Planet Nowhere', with shows from Southampton to Camden's Roundhouse in London.
The band played a sold-out anniversary show on 21 November 2024 at the O2 Academy Brixton to mark the twentieth anniversary of 'Up All Night'.
The fifth studio album 'Planet Nowhere' was released on 25 October 2024 via V2 Records - the first album by the classic lineup in sixteen years.
Razorlight played a series of sold-out intimate club shows in the United Kingdom to celebrate the new album.
The band performed as special guest at the UK arena tour of James, with shows in Manchester and London among others.
