Ralph Fiennes (born 1962 in Ipswich) is a British actor who broke through internationally as Nazi officer Amon Göth in Schindler's List (1993), earning his first Oscar nomination. He moves between major franchises - Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series, M in the James Bond films - and smaller dramatic features. A committed stage actor with deep roots in Shakespeare, he made his directorial debut in theatre with As You Like It at Theatre Royal Bath in 2025.
