Potochkine is a Paris-based duo - vocalist Pauline Alcaïdé and producer Hugo Sempé - who have been fusing EBM, darkwave and synthpunk with the theatrical tradition of French chanson since 2016. Their name references the Russian Potemkin, and that sense of heavy industrial force runs deep in their sound. Four studio albums, including the acclaimed Sortilèges (2021) and the recent Sang d'Encre (2025) on German label Young & Cold Records, have made them a fixture at major European dark electronics festivals.
