Pokey LaFarge (born Andrew Heissler, 1983, Bloomington, Illinois) is an American singer-songwriter who blends blues, country, Western swing and early jazz into a sound rooted in 20th-century American roots music. He built his reputation busking before breaking through in 2012 as Jack White's opening act, leading to a deal with Third Man Records. Now more than a decade and ten-plus albums into his career - including 2024's 'Rhumba Country' - he remains one of Americana's most resolutely independent voices.
