Dutch progressive rock legends Focus perform their classic hits and new album 'Focus 12' in an over-two-hour concert.
Pierre van der Linden (born 19 February 1946 in Amsterdam) is the drummer of Dutch progressive rock band Focus. He joined in 1971 and played on the breakthrough albums 'Moving Waves' and 'Focus 3', which produced the international hits 'Hocus Pocus' and 'Sylvia'. After earlier stints away from the band, he returned permanently in 2004 and has been part of the settled lineup - alongside founder Thijs van Leer, guitarist Menno Gootjes and bassist Udo Pannekeet - ever since.
Focus released the twelfth studio album 'Focus 12' on July 5, 2024 via Spirit of the Unicorn, with Van der Linden on drums.
Focus toured for a month through the US and Canada in July 2024 as part of Asia's 'Heat of the Moment Tour'.
On 'Focus 12', band members Udo Pannekeet and Menno Gootjes took on production for the first time; according to reviewers, Van der Linden delivered some of his most powerful drum parts on the album.
Focus concluded a successful European tour in 2025 and announced new concert dates for 2026.
