Genesis Project & Phil Collins
Genesis Project performs the music of Genesis and Phil Collins at Mozaïek Wijchen.
Phil Collins (London, 1951) is a British singer, drummer and songwriter who rose to fame as the drummer and later frontman of Genesis, then built one of the most successful solo careers of the 1980s and '90s with hits including "In the Air Tonight", "Sussudio" and "Another Day in Paradise". He has sold over 150 million records worldwide as both a solo artist and a Genesis member. Collins retired from live performance after Genesis' farewell tour in 2022, citing long-running health issues.
Collins told in a BBC Breakfast interview that he feels 'healthier than in a long time' and does not rule out a return to the stage.
Collins was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2026 as a solo artist - his second induction after that with Genesis in 2010.
Collins announced that he will not attend the induction ceremony on 14 November in Los Angeles due to his voice condition.
In a BBC Two series ('Phil Collins Eras: In Conversation') Collins spoke openly about five knee operations and kidney problems as a result of alcohol use.
Collins' team confirmed that he was recovering in the hospital from a knee operation, amid rumors about palliative care.
