Paul Scheffer (1954) is a Dutch journalist, essayist and academic. He worked as a foreign correspondent in Paris and Warsaw, made programmes for the VPRO, and was professor of European Studies at Tilburg University. He is widely known for his influential essay on multiculturalism and the book The Land of Arrival (2007), which examines migration and integration across Europe.
