Palms Trax is the alias of English DJ and producer Jay Donaldson, born in 1991 in Saltford and now based in Berlin. His debut Equation EP landed on Lobster Theremin in 2013 and quickly gained traction on underground dance floors; subsequent releases on Amsterdam's Dekmantel label cemented his reputation across Europe. His sets range freely across Chicago house, Detroit techno and italo-disco, a breadth that has made him a regular at festivals such as Dekmantel and Boiler Room.
Palms Trax was announced for a rare back-to-back-to-back set with Antal and Hunee at GALA Festival 2026 in London (Peckham Rye Park, 22-24 May 2026).
Palms Trax delivered a two-hour set for The Lot Radio on 5 November 2025.
Palms Trax performed at Rainbow Disco Club 2025, recorded as RDC 092 on SoundCloud.
A new version of his debut track 'Equation' was released on 3 October 2025 via the label Chaos.
Resident Advisor published a Playing Favourites episode with Palms Trax, recorded during Dekmantel in August 2024.
