Olivia Dean (London, 1999) is a British singer-songwriter who blends soul, pop and R&B with conversational lyrics and a warm, supple voice. Her debut album 'Messy' (2023) earned a Mercury Prize nomination, while her follow-up 'The Art of Loving' (2025) debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned her first UK chart-topper, 'Man I Need'. In February 2026 she won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, the first British winner in that category since 2019.
Olivia Dean won on 1 February 2026 the Grammy Award for Best New Artist at the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles - as the first British artist in that category since Dua Lipa in 2019.
Her second album 'The Art of Loving' was released on 26 September 2025 and debuted immediately at number one on the UK Albums Chart, also in the Netherlands, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
In November 2025, Dean announced her 'The Art of Loving Live' world tour, her first full arena tour, with two shows at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam (9 May and 14 June 2026).
In 2025, Dean performed as opening act for Sabrina Carpenter during the 'Short n' Sweet' tour and made her debut on Saturday Night Live.
In March 2025, her single 'It Isn't Perfect But It Might Be' appeared on the soundtrack of the film 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy', which reached the UK Singles Chart at number 36.
