About
Obie Trice is an American rapper from Detroit, Michigan, who rose to prominence after being signed to Eminem's Shady Records in 2000. His 2003 debut album Cheers, executive-produced by Eminem, peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. After leaving Shady Records in 2008, he founded his own label, Black Market Entertainment, and has continued releasing music independently, with his fifth studio album The Fifth appearing in 2019.
