About

Novastar is the stage name of Joost Zweegers, a Dutch-born singer-songwriter who grew up in Neerpelt, Belgium, and has long been based in Antwerp. His self-titled debut album (2000) entered the Flemish chart at number one, and subsequent records such as 'Another Lonely Soul' (2004) and 'Inside Outside' (2014) cemented his reputation as one of the Low Countries' most enduring songwriters. In 2024 he re-recorded a selection of his best-known songs at Abbey Road Studios in London with a team of British musicians.
