Neophyte is the stage name of Jeroen Streunding (born 1971), the Rotterdam DJ and producer who co-founded the hardcore group of the same name in 1992 alongside Danny Greten and Robin van Roon. One of the architects of the Dutch gabber scene, he signed to DJ Paul Elstak's Rotterdam Records in 1993 and built a catalogue that ranks among the most influential in the genre. In 1999 he launched Neophyte Records, a label that has since accumulated over 420 million streams worldwide and helped break acts such as Evil Activities and Tha Playah.
