One Long Groove
One Long Groove is a late-night electronic party at Pllek with a strong line-up of international DJs and producers.
Midland is the alias of British DJ, producer and record label owner Harry Agius (born 1986), who started out in Leeds and is now based in London. Known for genre-fluid sets that move between house, techno, rare disco and distinctly British sounds, he broke through in 2016 with the club hit 'Final Credits' and a BBC Essential Mix awarded Mix of the Year. He runs his own imprint Graded, founded in 2013, alongside the sub-labels Regraded and InterGraded. His debut album 'Fragments of Us' (2024) - a concept record exploring queer history through dance music - was named among the best albums of the year by Resident Advisor, Mixmag and DJ Mag.
Midland released the single 'Never Enough', the first new music after his debut album.
His debut album 'Fragments of Us' was released on 4 October 2024 via his own label Graded and was included in the annual best-of lists of Resident Advisor, Mixmag and DJ Mag.
Clash Magazine gave 'Fragments of Us' a score of 9/10 and described it as ambitious and impressive in execution.
The album, a conceptual work about queer history featuring voices from Marlon Riggs and David Wojnarowicz among others, was described by Resident Advisor as an introspective study of the queer experience.
