About

Mick Harvey is an Australian multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, best known as a founding member of The Birthday Party and a central figure in Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds for over 25 years. Beyond his band work, he has composed film scores for titles including Chopper and Ghosts... of the Civil Dead, produced PJ Harvey's Mercury Prize-winning Let England Shake, and released eleven solo albums. His work spans post-punk, noir and singer-songwriter territory, with a long-running interest in translating and reinterpreting songs by artists from Serge Gainsbourg to Marlene Dietrich.
