Michelle David is an American-Dutch gospel and soul singer who grew up singing in church in New York from the age of four. She worked with artists such as Diana Ross and Michael Bolton and toured in the Broadway musical 'Mama' before settling in the Netherlands, where she leads the band The True-Tones. Together they have released seven albums, including 'Truth & Soul' and 'Brothers & Sisters', and have played major festivals such as Pinkpop and North Sea Jazz.
Op 27 februari 2026 verscheen het nieuwe, introspectieve album 'Soul Woman' via het Italiaanse label Record Kicks.
In oktober 2025 bracht de band de single 'Running' uit als tweede voorproefje van het album Soul Woman.
In september 2025 verscheen de single 'Speak To Me', die vooraf al steun kreeg van onder meer BBC Radio 6 Music en KEXP.
Ter promotie van 'Soul Woman' toert de band in het voorjaar van 2026 langs zes Nederlandse podia, van Groningen tot Nijmegen.
De Europese tournee rond het nieuwe album ging op 27 maart 2026 van start in de Parijse zaal New Morning.
