About

Mella Dee is the stage name of Ryan Aitchison, a DJ and producer from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, now based in London. His sound draws directly on Yorkshire's warehouse and pirate-radio culture - hardcore, bassline, techno and house all feed into his productions. In 2017 he launched his own Warehouse Music imprint and broke through with 'Techno Disco Tool', a Sister Sledge-sampling underground anthem that earned a BPI Silver certification in 2022. He has since collaborated with Bernard Sumner of New Order and holds residencies at clubs including Berghain, Amnesia and Nitsa.
