Masalo is an Amsterdam-born DJ, producer and live artist of Dutch-Japanese heritage. Shaped by his father's analogue machines and his mother's love of dance, he came up through clubs like Trouw and Paradiso before becoming a fixture of the city's underground. With partner Kamma he runs the Brighter Days party series (since 2014) and co-founded listening bar Doka. His live show 'The Trinity' - a custom-built rig built for improvisation - made its debut on Dekmantel's main stage in 2024.
Kamma & Masalo launched their own record label Brighter Discs with the debut EP 'Can't Fake the Feeling', released on May 15, 2026.

Kamma & Masalo were on the line-up of Dekmantel Festival 2025.
Masalo released the solo single 'Arcade Heartbeat' on Young Marco's label Safe Trip.
Masalo debuted his live set 'The Trinity' on the main stage of Dekmantel and subsequently performed at, among others, DGTL, Lente Kabinet, Lowlands and Dekmantel Selectors.
