Luke Slater (Reading, 1968) is a British techno producer, DJ and label owner who has been active since 1989. Best known as Planetary Assault Systems, he helped define a distinctly British strand of hard, polyrhythmic techno and became one of Berghain's longest-serving residents. He also records as The 7th Plain and L.B. Dub Corp, and runs his own Mote-Evolver imprint.
Planetary Assault Systems released the album 'Planetary People' on May 15, 2026 via Ostgut Ton - his first full Ostgut Ton record since 'Arc Angel' from 2016.
Slater toured actively around Europe and South America during the album release, with performances in Amsterdam, Bogotá and Buenos Aires, among others.
In March 2025, Slater announced the compilation 'Reassembled', on which artists such as Len Faki, Chlär, Oscar Mulero and Rene Wise rework tracks from the Planetary Assault Systems archive; the release followed on March 28 via Mote-Evolver.
