Lucky Fonz III (real name Otto Wichers, born 1981 in Nijmegen) is a Dutch singer-songwriter and author, known for his poetic Dutch-language songs and his reputation as one of the country's most compelling live performers. He won the Grote Prijs van Nederland in the singer-songwriter category in 2006 and has since released nine studio albums, most recently 'De zachte krachten' (2026). His 2024 debut novel 'Van de goden vervuld' was nominated for the Hebban Debut Award 2025.
Lucky Fonz III released his ninth studio album 'De zachte krachten' on 13 March 2026, named after a line from a poem by Henriette Roland Holst.
In November 2025, Lucky Fonz III announced an extensive club tour for both spring and autumn 2026, with nineteen shows throughout the Netherlands.
On 12 September 2025, the new single 'Toen Kwam Jij' was released, a danceable love song that previewed the new album.
In 2024, Lucky Fonz III made his debut as a novelist with 'Van de goden vervuld', which was nominated for the Hebban Debut Award 2025.
