Lefthand Freddy is the blues band of guitarist and vocalist Fred Reining, founded in the early 1990s in Groningen as Lefthand Freddy & the Aces. The band plays Chicago blues with original material and has performed at major European festivals, from the Leverkusener Jazztage and Sziget to the legendary 100 Club in London. In 2023, Fred Reining was inducted into the Dutch Blues Hall of Fame alongside names such as Oscar Benton and Harry Muskee.
Lefthand Freddy performs on 29 March 2026 at MfA MeJander in Oldeberkoop.
Lefthand Freddy & the Aces is on the bill of the Bolwerk Bluesfestival 2026 in Steenwijk.
The band performed on 31 May 2025 together with Flavium at music venue De Pul in Uden.
Bluesmagazine dedicated an article to the album Soul Strings as an iconic Dutch blues album.
Lefthand Freddy was on the line-up of the first Zwolle Blues Festival at music venue Hedon.
