Leaves' Eyes is a German-Norwegian symphonic metal band founded in 2003 by members of Atrocity and vocalist Liv Kristine. Their sound weaves heavy guitars with orchestral arrangements and operatic vocals, drawing on Norse mythology and European history. After Liv Kristine's departure in 2016, Finnish soprano Elina Siirala took over as frontwoman. Nine studio albums in, the band remains one of the most active live acts in European symphonic metal.
Leaves' Eyes released their EP Song of Darkness on March 6, 2026 via Reigning Phoenix Music, with four tracks inspired by Vikingsaga's.
The band shared the title single and music video of Song of Darkness in January 2026, inspired by the medieval Icelandic Gísla-saga.
Leaves' Eyes toured through Europe in spring 2025 as part of the Myths of Fate European Tour, with Nytt Land as special guest.
Guitarist Micki Richter left both Leaves' Eyes and sister band Atrocity in June 2024.
The ninth studio album Myths of Fate was released on March 26, 2024 via AFM Records and reached position 17 on the German album chart.
