About

Laibach are a Slovenian avant-garde group founded in 1980 in Trbovlje, operating as the musical arm of the Neue Slowenische Kunst (NSK) art collective. Their sound spans industrial rock, neoclassical and electronic music, delivered through a stage aesthetic that deliberately plays with totalitarian imagery. Landmark releases include Opus Dei (1987) and a string of provocative cover albums; in 2015 they became the first Western band to perform in North Korea. Their 2026 album MUSICK is their first original studio record since 2014.
