About

Kurt Vile & The Violators is the live outfit of Philadelphia singer-songwriter Kurt Vile (born 1980), a former lead guitarist of The War on Drugs who built his reputation on a string of acclaimed lo-fi indie rock albums. Breakthrough records like Smoke Ring for My Halo (2011) and b'lieve i'm goin down... (2015) established his signature drawling, guitar-heavy sound. His tenth studio album, Philadelphia's been good to me (2026), marks a homecoming to the city that shaped him.
