Krissy Matthews (Oxford, 1992) is a British-Norwegian blues rock guitarist and singer-songwriter who, at twelve, was personally invited by John Mayall to perform with the Bluesbreakers at the Notodden Blues Festival in Norway. He signed his first record deal at fourteen and had three albums out before turning eighteen. His discography now runs to eleven records, the latest three on the German label Ruf Records. Alongside his solo work he is a permanent member of the Hamburg Blues Band.
Krissy Matthews' GUITARMANIA returns to Europe in spring 2027, with Eric Gales, Eric Steckel and Pablo van de Poel among others as guests on a tour from 22 April to 15 May 2027.
On 10 April 2026, 'Rock and Roll Soldier', the eleventh studio album by Krissy Matthews, was released, recorded with his Norwegian trio The Vikings via Ruf Records.
In May 2026, the GUITARMANIA 2026 tour started, a series of thirteen shows through Germany, Austria and Switzerland with six international guest guitarists.
The song 'Learn to Live with the Blues' from the album 'Krissy Matthews and Friends' reached the second position in the iTunes Blues Chart of Germany on 19 June 2024.
On 10 May 2024, Krissy Matthews released 'Krissy Matthews and Friends' via Ruf Records, a collaborative album with eighty musicians from the international blues and rock scene.
