Kool G Rap (born Nathaniel Thomas Wilson, July 20, 1968, in Corona, Queens, New York) is an American rapper who rose to prominence in the mid-1980s as a member of the Juice Crew and one half of the duo Kool G Rap & DJ Polo. Widely regarded as one of the most influential MCs of all time, he is credited as a pioneer of mafioso rap and multisyllabic rhyming. Artists including The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Eminem, and Jay-Z have cited him as a direct influence.
Kool G Rap appeared as a guest artist on Rakim's album G.O.D.'s Network: Reb7rth, on the track 'International' together with Joell Ortiz and Tristate.
Kool G Rap released his solo album Last of a Dying Breed, his first solo work in five years, entirely produced by RRC Music Co. from Amsterdam.
Kool G Rap collaborated with ILL BILL and Non Phixion on a joint project.
