The Koninklijke Militaire Kapel Johan Willem Friso is the official wind orchestra of the Dutch armed forces, based in Assen. Named after Prince Johan Willem Friso of Nassau, it performs at military ceremonies and state occasions. With over 200 years of history, it is one of the oldest military bands in the Netherlands.
