Kenny 'Dope' Gonzalez (Brooklyn, New York, 1970) is an American DJ and producer of Puerto Rican descent who started out as a record-store buyer before becoming one of house music's most influential figures. With Louie Vega he forms Masters at Work, the duo that helped define deep house and garage from 1990 onwards and remixed artists including Björk, Janet Jackson and Luther Vandross. As The Bucketheads he scored the 1995 international hit 'The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall into My Mind)', and through his labels Kay-Dee Records and Dopewax he continues to champion rare funk and soul recordings.
Masters at Work released Brian Jackson's album 'Now More Than Ever' on BBE Music, a triple-LP with reworked Gil Scott-Heron classics and guests such as Black Thought and Moodymann.
Kenny Dope performed in May 2026 on the Japan Tour in Nagoya as part of a series of international club performances.
