Norwegian rock band Kaizers Orchestra performs at Melkweg Amsterdam.
Kaizers Orchestra is a Norwegian alternative rock band founded on 1 January 2000 by childhood friends Janove Ottesen and Geir Zahl. The six-piece is known for theatrical live shows that blend punk, cabaret and Eastern European folk, with percussion on oil barrels and brake drums - all sung exclusively in Norwegian. All eight of their studio albums reached number one in Norway, making them one of Scandinavia's biggest rock acts. After a decade-long hiatus, the band returned in 2023 with a reunion tour whose 82,000 tickets sold out in under fifteen minutes.
Kaizers Orchestra plays an extensive European jubilee tour in October 2026 to celebrate their 25-year anniversary, with performances in Amsterdam, London, Cologne, Berlin and Copenhagen, among others.
The band performs on October 2, 2026 at the Melkweg in Amsterdam as part of the European tour.
In the summer of 2025, the band played five stadium shows in Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim and Copenhagen as the conclusion of their comeback phase.
In October 2025, the band played their only American show of that year at The Town Hall in New York, directly after the successful Scandinavian stadium tour.
In September 2024, the band announced their first American tour, with five shows in Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Minneapolis and Los Angeles.
