About

Käärijä is the stage name of Finnish rapper and singer Jere Pöyhönen, who grew up in Vantaa. He broke through internationally at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, where his Finnish-language track "Cha Cha Cha" won the public vote and placed second overall with 526 points - Finland's best result in seventeen years. His sound blends eurodance, hip-hop and metal, and his green bolero jacket became an instantly recognisable stage trademark. Since Eurovision he has kept releasing new music and touring Europe, and in May 2026 he announced his third studio album, Eurodisko.
