Cult of Luna
Cult of Luna presents their darkest album 'In the Shadow of Your Shadow' in Maastricht. The Swedish sludge metal band brings guest vocalists Joe Duplantier and Eugene Edwards, with support from BRUIT ≤ and Youth Code.
Joe Duplantier (Paris, 1976) is the guitarist, vocalist and producer of French metal band Gojira, which he co-founded with his brother Mario in Ondres. His technically precise playing and the band's fusion of death metal with ecological themes - heard on albums like *From Mars to Sirius* and *Magma* - earned Gojira a global following. In 2024 the band made history as the first metal act to perform at an Olympic opening ceremony, and in February 2025 they won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance.
Gojira performs as a support act for Metallica's M72 World Tour through Europe, with shows in cities such as Athens, Berlin, Frankfurt, Zurich, Bologna, Glasgow, Cardiff and London (May-July 2026).
Gojira announces a new studio album for 2026; the band has been working on it for quite some time and has a mobile studio to record on the road as well.
Gojira wins the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for 'Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)', their first Grammy win ever.
Joe Duplantier undergoes a minor operation on his right thumb and is therefore unable to play guitar during the French tour in November-December 2025; Car Bomb guitarist Greg Kubacki steps in.
2026 marks the 20th anniversary of *From Mars to Sirius*; Duplantier announces that the accompanying tour will offer more than an integral performance of the album.
