Jimmy Rosenberg (born 1980 in Helmond) is a Dutch Sinto-Romani guitarist who first drew international attention at age nine through the BBC documentary Django's Legacy. Critics widely regard him as the most compelling successor to Django Reinhardt; he has performed at the Concertgebouw alongside Stéphane Grappelli and made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2000. After a lengthy absence due to personal struggles, he returned to the stage in 2022, playing Django Reinhardt festivals in Milan and Fontainebleau. His current trio features Faifie Reinhardt on rhythm guitar and Fremdo Rosenberg on double bass.
The Jimmy Rosenberg Trio performed as headliner on the opening night of Django Amsterdam at the Bimhuis - the concert was sold out.
The trio gave a sold-out concert on April 5, 2025 at Podium Aan Zee in Scheveningen.
Rosenberg returned to the international stage with performances at the Django Reinhardt festivals in Milan and Fontainebleau.
The Jimmy Rosenberg Academy was founded as an online school with masterclasses, its own label ('Jolie Môme') and an international gypsy swing competition.
The documentary Jon & Jimmy about his collaboration with guitarist Jon Larsen won the Dutch Edison Award in the jazz category.
