Jett Rebel is the stage name of Jelte Steven Tuinstra, born on 24 January 1991 in The Hague. A singer-songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist, he writes, records and produces everything himself, playing all instruments on his records using analogue equipment. He broke through in 2013 with the EPs Venus and Mars, won a 2014 Edison Award as best newcomer, and has since established himself as one of the most distinctive live performers in the Dutch music scene. His sound moves between pop, rock, funk and soul, delivered with a flamboyant stage presence shaped by influences ranging from Brian Wilson to Prince.
