About
Jan Smit (born 31 December 1985 in Volendam) is a Dutch singer, television host and actor who has been a fixture of Dutch popular music for three decades. He made his debut at age ten alongside BZN singer Carola Smit and scored his first number one in 1997 with 'Ik zing dit lied voor jou alleen'. Alongside a solo career spanning numerous gold and platinum albums, he is a member of the supergroup De Toppers and a well-known TV presenter, most notably on Beste Zangers.
