Jain
French pop singer Jain performs her tarot-inspired album 'The Fool' at Melkweg, blending Arabic percussion, African rhythms, and French techno.
Jain is the stage name of Jeanne Louise Galice (Toulouse, 1992), a French singer-songwriter who grew up in the UAE and Congo - a nomadic upbringing that shaped her sound profoundly. She blends Arabic percussion, African rhythms and Western electronics into a style that is immediately her own, sings almost exclusively in English, and broke internationally with "Makeba" (2015), earning a Grammy nomination. Her first two albums, Zanaka and Souldier, have accumulated over 2 billion streams combined; her third album The Fool (2023) marks a more personal, folk-leaning direction inspired by the Marseille tarot.
Jain released two new singles in 2026: 'Kill It With The Beat' and 'FAM' (with Meryl).
Jain collaborated with dj/producer Solomun on the single 'Tout le monde est fou', on which she sings in French for the first time.
The single 'Tout le monde est fou' was released on 28 February 2025 via Columbia/Sony Music France.
Jain released the single 'Nobody Knows' in 2024.
