Arnhem Death Fest 2026: Korpse + Izegrim + Necrotesque + Burial and more
The second edition of Arnhem Deathfest brings Dutch metalcore and death metal bands together, featuring Korpse, Izegrim, Necrotesque and Burial.
Izegrim is a Dutch thrash/death metal band from Zutphen, founded in 1996 by guitarist Jeroen Wechgelaer and drummer Joep van Leeuwen. The band hit its stride from 2008 onward, with vocalist and bassist Marloes Voskuijl fronting a lineup that released three albums on Listenable Records: 'Code of Consequences' (2011), 'Congress of the Insane' (2013) and 'The Ferryman's End' (2016). After a farewell tour in 2019 and a period in which Marloes fronted Haliphron, Izegrim reformed in 2025 with the same lineup that had carried the band through its most active years.
Izegrim played a well-attended club show in April 2026 at the Elpee in Deinze (Belgium), their first Belgian performance after the reunion.
Izegrim celebrated their reunion and 30th anniversary with two sets on the metal cruise 70,000 Tons of Metal (Miami - Nassau), their first performances since 2019.
Izegrim announced their comeback after singer Marloes Voskuijl left Haliphron in early 2025 and that band subsequently ceased to exist.
As the first reunion concert, a performance on the metal cruise 70,000 Tons of Metal in January 2026 was announced, alongside names such as Anthrax, Vader and Eluveitie.
Izegrim was confirmed for Alcatraz Metal Festival 2026 in Kortrijk (6-9 August), where the band had previously performed in 2011.
