Imperial Triumphant + Knoll
American metal band Imperial Triumphant performs in Nijmegen with Knoll opening the show.
Imperial Triumphant is an American avant-garde metal band from New York City, founded in 2005 by Zachary Ezrin. Their music fuses black metal with jazz, dissonant harmonies and a dark, surrealist atmosphere rooted in an Art Deco New York aesthetic. The album Alphaville (2020) brought them international recognition, and Goldstar (2025) cemented their standing as one of the most singular acts in contemporary extreme metal.
Imperial Triumphant announced a European and British headliner tour for November and December 2026, with Knoll as support - the final leg of the Goldstar World Tour.
Bassist and keyboardist Steve Blanco released Imprints of Man, a solo album in which he arranged Imperial Triumphant's music for solo piano.
The sixth studio album Goldstar was released on March 21, 2025 via Century Media Records and received critical acclaim, including a 9/10 from The Needle Drop.
Imperial Triumphant toured North America in March and April 2025 as part of the Decibel Magazine Tour, alongside Mayhem, Mortiis and New Skeletal Faces.
The band announced Goldstar and released the single 'Hotel Sphinx', directed by band member Steve Blanco.
