Hooverphonic are a Belgian band founded in Sint-Niklaas in 1995 by Alex Callier, Frank Duchêne and Raymond Geerts. Their sound blends trip-hop, dream pop and psychedelic pop with orchestral arrangements - a signature that placed them alongside Portishead and Massive Attack in the mid-1990s European electronic scene. Albums such as The Magnificent Tree (2000) and Hooverphonic Presents Jackie Cane (2002) earned them multiple number-one chart positions in Belgium, while songs like "2 Wicky" and "Eden" spread their reputation internationally. Over the years the band has worked with several lead vocalists, most notably Geike Arnaert, who returned to the group and currently fronts the band.
Hooverphonic trad op 6 februari 2026 op in de Lotto Arena in Antwerpen ter ere van het 25-jarig jubileum van The Magnificent Tree, nadat eerdere shows in Brussel en Luik razendsnel uitverkochten.
Op 26 september 2025 speelde Hooverphonic twee uitverkochte jubileumconcerten in de AB in Brussel, precies 25 jaar na de release van The Magnificent Tree.
Hooverphonic toerde in het voorjaar van 2025 door Polen, Bulgarije, Slowakije, Hongarije, Roemenië, Turkije en Griekenland als onderdeel van de The Magnificent Tree 25th Anniversary Tour.
De band verscheen op Liefde Voor Muziek 2025, het populaire Vlaamse televisieprogramma waarin bekende artiesten elkaars nummers spelen.
In 2024 bracht Hooverphonic het album Fake Is the New Dope uit via hun eigen Sony-gedistribueerde label Hooverphonic Records.
