Hippotraktor is a progressive/post-metal quintet from Mechelen, Belgium, known for blending polyrhythmic heaviness with atmospheric depth and twin-vocal dynamics. The band expanded from a three-piece instrumental outfit to a five-piece in 2021 with the addition of vocalist Stefan De Graef (Psychonaut) and guitarist/vocalist Sander Rom (L'Itch). Their second album 'Stasis' (2024) on Berlin's Pelagic Records broadened their reach well beyond the Belgian scene, and a third album, 'Annihilist', is due in October 2026.
