Hilight Tribe is a Paris-based French live band, founded in 1995, performing psychedelic trance with a fully live six-piece lineup. They coined the term 'Natural Trance' for their blend of avant-garde electronics and world music played on instruments including sitar, didgeridoo and djembe - always without a metronome. Their 2002 track 'Free Tibet' became a psytrance classic, and a 2016 Vini Vici remix brought them global reach, further boosted by the collaboration with Armin van Buuren on 'Great Spirit'.
Hilight Tribe returns to the Melkweg in Amsterdam in November 2026, following a sold-out show in 2025.
The second part of the album Luminessence is scheduled for 2026, as a follow-up to part one from 2023.
