About
Herman van Veen (born 14 March 1945 in Utrecht) is a Dutch singer-songwriter, author, actor and theatre-maker who has been performing since his 1965 debut with the solo programme 'Harlekijn'. He is internationally best known as the creator of the animated series Alfred J. Kwak (1976), for which he also composed the music. Over a career spanning six decades he has released around 180 albums and an equal number of books, and holds honours from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France.
