Hekkla is the alias of Tim, a Dutch DJ and producer from Eindhoven - now based in Den Bosch - working across house, techno and UK-influenced club styles including broken techno and grime-adjacent sounds. The name is borrowed from the Icelandic volcano Hekla, with an extra K added. After completing producer Martyn's mentoring programme, he appeared on the three-part 'It Was Always There' compilation on 3024, then released his debut vinyl EP 'Reverse Groove' on Bristol's Out of Sorts Records in 2023.
Hekkla released his 'Hyper Continuum EP' in January 2024 on Flippen Disks, with five tracks and a remix by Siu Mata.

Hekkla performed in October 2023 at a joint event by 3024 and Intercept at the iconic Area 51 skatepark in Eindhoven, alongside Martyn and others.
Hekkla is scheduled in September 2025 at Demo in the Netherlands, together with Iris Rijskamp.
