Trio Da Kali
Three griot musicians from Mali's Mande culture perform at Grounds: a supergroup of hereditary storytellers blending traditional instruments with jazz and classical influences.
Hawa 'Kassé Mady' Diabaté is a Malian singer and daughter of the celebrated griot Kassé Mady Diabaté. As the voice of Trio Da Kali, she carries the ancient storytelling tradition of the Mande jeli to international audiences. Her powerful voice has drawn comparisons to gospel legend Mahalia Jackson. In 2025 she released two acclaimed albums: Trio Da Kali's debut Bagola and Toumaro, a posthumous tribute to her father that she completed after his death in 2018.
Toumaro van Hawa & Kassé Mady Diabaté stands for the second month in a row at number 1 in the World Music Charts Europe.
Toumaro reaches the number 1 position in the Transglobal World Music Chart of September 2025.
Heaven Magazine calls Toumaro one of the best Malian records of recent years.
One World Records releases Toumaro, the posthumous album of Kassé Mady Diabaté that Hawa completed in 2023 with her own vocal parts.
Trio Da Kali releases Bagola, their first full solo album, at One World Records.
